What Friendsift reads

When you start a scan, Friendsift reads pages of facebook.com that you can already see while signed in: your friend list, reactions and comments on your own recent posts, and the friend requests you sent. It does not read messages, does not use your password, cookies or access tokens, and does not read other people's private data.

Where your data lives

Everything Friendsift collects is stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local) on your computer. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can export it as CSV or a backup file, and delete it at any time under Plan & settings → “Delete all Friendsift data”, or by removing the extension.

Network requests

The only server Friendsift contacts besides facebook.com is api.polar.sh, and only if you enter a license key: the key is sent to Polar to check which plan it unlocks. Twice a day Friendsift also downloads a small public file of Facebook button names from our own site (hoanghoang290393.github.io/friendsift/rules.json) so it keeps working when Facebook renames things; nothing about you is sent with that request. Payments are handled by Polar on its own checkout page; Friendsift never sees card details.

Actions on your account

Friendsift only removes friends or cancels requests that you selected and confirmed, one at a time at the pace you choose, and stops at the first Facebook warning. If you turn on Autopilot (and type the confirmation word once), it does the same by itself for people matching the rules you set, at the safe pace and within daily limits; you can turn it off at any time.

Backups and notifications

If weekly backup is on, Friendsift saves a copy of your own data as a file in your Downloads/Friendsift folder (the newest 4 are kept). Notifications after automatic runs are shown by your browser only. Neither is sent anywhere.

Importing from another tool

When you import a file (a CSV from another extension, a list of profile links, or Facebook's own "Download your information" file), it is read inside your browser on this computer. Only names and profile links of your friends are used, to fill your keep list and removed history; the file itself is not stored or sent anywhere.

Free trial

The date your 7-day trial started is saved in Chrome's own sync storage (your Google account, if Chrome sync is on), so reinstalling does not restart it. It is a single date, nothing else.

No tracking

No analytics, no ads, no selling or sharing of data. Data is not used for any purpose other than the features you see.

Friendsift chỉ đọc các trang Facebook bạn tự xem được khi đã đăng nhập (danh sách bạn bè, cảm xúc/bình luận trên bài của chính bạn, lời mời bạn đã gửi) khi bạn bấm quét. Không đọc tin nhắn, không dùng mật khẩu, cookie hay token. Mọi dữ liệu chỉ lưu trong trình duyệt trên máy bạn, không gửi về đâu; xoá được bất cứ lúc nào. Máy chủ duy nhất ngoài facebook.com là api.polar.sh, chỉ để kiểm tra mã bản quyền nếu bạn nhập; ngoài ra mỗi ngày 2 lần tải 1 tệp công khai chứa tên nút Facebook từ trang của chúng tôi (không gửi gì về bạn). Friendsift chỉ huỷ kết bạn/huỷ lời mời bạn đã chọn và xác nhận, từng người một, dừng ngay khi Facebook cảnh báo. Không theo dõi, không quảng cáo, không bán dữ liệu.
